8 WhatsApp messages to wish someone luck:
1. Good luck (خوش قسمت رہو ، چنگے نصیب ہوون )- used to express wishes for success.
(کسے دی کامیابی لئی نیک خواہشاں ظاہر کرنا )
Example: Good luck with your studies!
2. All the best (نیک خواہشاں) - said or written to wish a person well on ending a letter or parting.
Example: All the best for you trip!
3. Break a leg (بڑا ودھیا کرنا)- What you tell someone about to perform in a drama or musical performance to wish them well.
(جدوں کوئی ڈرامہ یا مظاہرہ کرن والا ہووے اودوں اوہ ایہ بول سکدے نیں Break a leg !)
Example: You have practiced a lot! Break a leg!
4. Kill it! (بہت چنگا کرنا) - to do something extremely well
Example: The audience went mad after his performance! He killed it!
5. You'll do great (تُسی بڑا چنگا کرو گے) - When somebody is about to do something important to them, you could say this to give them more confidence and motivate them.
(جدوں کوئی کُجھ کرن والا ہووے جیہڑے اوہدے لئی بڑی اہمیت رکھدا اے، اوہناں ایہ بول کے تُسی اوہدے حوصلہ افزائی کر سکدے او- You'll do great)
Example: Don't worry, you'll do great!
Other terms for luck:
1.'Pushing your luck': When you have good luck or a good situation, but you try too hard to extend it or get an even better situation, and risk having a negative result or losing what you have achieved so far.
(جدوں حالات چنگے ہوون تے تُسی اوہناں نوں ہور چنگے کرن دی کوشش کر رہے ہوو تے تہانوں خطرہ اے کہ حالات بدل سکدے نیں، اودوں ''Pushing your luck' آکھدے نیں)
Example: They offered me the job after a very competitive hiring process. I wanted to ask for a higher starting salary, but I felt like that would be pushing my luck.
2. The luck of the draw
This phrase means something is completely by chance or random; you cannot control it at all (similar to winning the lottery, when they “draw” – take – the winning ticket completely at random).
(جدوں کوئی شے نصیب نال یا اچانک ہوندے اے، اوہنوں آکھدے نیں 'the luck of draw')
Example: You can’t choose who you compete against in the tournament – it’s the luck of the draw.
3. As luck would have it
This phrase means “by chance.” It can be used for both lucky things or unlucky things.
(اوہدا مطلب ہوندا اے "قسمت نال" ۔ ایہ خوش قسمتی تے بد قسمتی دوواں شیوں لئی وَرتیا جاندا اے۔ )
Example: Lucky chance: “I called the doctor to make an urgent appointment and as luck would have it, he was available to see me the very same day.”
